1. What GodCouncil is

GodCouncil ("the Service") lets you pose questions to a council of AI-generated characters inspired by historical and public figures. The debates, voices, portraits, citations, and verdicts are generated by artificial intelligence for entertainment, education, commentary, and parody.

2. AI personas — not the real people

Every council member is a fictional AI persona. The personas are works of parody and commentary drawing on each figure's publicly known ideas and published writing. They are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or controlled by any person depicted or their estates. The spoken audio is synthetic — these are not the real voices of any living or deceased person, and no statement made by a persona should be attributed to the actual person.

3. Not professional advice

Council output may be wrong, incomplete, or outdated, and is not legal, medical, financial, psychological, or any other professional advice. Decisions you make remain your own. If you are in crisis, contact a qualified professional or local emergency services.

4. Privacy

The full policy lives at godcouncil.com/privacy-policy. In brief:

• Analytics: we run our own first-party analytics — a random visitor identifier, pages visited, time on site, and product events (questions asked, debates completed, ratings). We use this only to improve the product. Analytics data is retained for roughly 90 days. We use no third-party ad trackers and we do not sell or share your data.
• Questions and debates: your questions and the council's responses are processed by our AI providers (such as Anthropic and ElevenLabs) to generate the experience, and recent questions are retained briefly in our analytics for product improvement.
• Photos: a photo you upload for critique is sent to our AI provider to generate the commentary and is not stored on our servers.
• Accounts: sign-in is handled by Clerk. If you sign in, your saved sessions are stored against your account so you can revisit them; you can delete them from your archive at any time.
• Shared debates: creating a share link stores that debate on our servers so the link works for others. Share links expire automatically after about six months. Don't share a debate that contains information you want to keep private.
• Local storage: your council configuration and preferences live in your own browser's storage.

5. Acceptable use

• Don't use the Service for anything unlawful, or to generate harassment or hate.
• Only upload photos you have the right to share — yourself, or others with their consent.
• Don't attempt to bypass usage limits or disrupt the Service. Daily usage allowances apply and may change.

6. The service itself

The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you have paid us for the Service (currently: nothing).
